The perfect stopover in the Heart of Matopos. Nestled in the beautiful Miombo woodland bordering Matopos National park - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Big Cave Campsite offers a tranquil bush experience designed for 4x4 adventurers, campervans and Caravans. This campsite also features charming Ndebele -style huts, blending traditional African design with rustic charm for those not pitching tent.
Big Cave Campsite is easily accessible along the well-maintained jeep track, just 3km off the main road.
This tranquil campsite is the perfect stopover whether you're heading to or from Hwange National Park, Mana Pools, Gonarezhou or Great Zimbabwe.
Park fees need not be paid to access the campsite. The campsite is 105 km's from the Plumtree border, and 370 km's from the Beitbridge border. This beautiful camp site is located 2 km from the National Park boundary, with wonderful views down the valley into the National Park. Access is through a separate gate which can accommodate large vehicles.
2026 Rates: USD 18 per person per night. 50% less for children under 12 years.
